Using art to promote sustainable homes
Six apple iPad2s to be won for the best laptop sticker designs
If you have a passion for art and the environment then the website GreenSavingsCalculator.com.au has launched a unique competition that will exercise both your artistic talents and your green passion.
The Green Savings Calculator site was established as a simple way of explaining the financial and environmental benefits of investing in sustainable products and building materials.
To promote its key sustainability messages into the wider community the website is holding a competition to design a laptop sticker that promotes environmental awareness. A laptop sticker is placed on the outside of your laptop to individualise it and creates a colourful cover.
The competition has been developed to encourage people to help improve the environment through their purchasing choices and to foster creativity and awareness in the community.
The Green Savings Calculator is being embraced by leading industry bodies in Victoria including the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) and the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA Vic) as a simple and effective way of communicating green solutions to the wider community.
There are six exciting design categories you can select from that cover a wide range of styles. There is even a section for the youngest in the community to show their talent.
You can choose from:
Photography
Abstract
Cartoon
Street art
Graphic Design
Kids under 10 years
Examples are available at greensavingscalculator.com.au by clicking on the link to the competition at the bottom of the page.
The winning artists’ designs will be available Australia-wide for download from the site.
